Sustainable Development in Lake Areas: Empowering Local initiatives and Civil Society
The project focuses on participatory implementation strategies of the EU environmental directives in lake and wetland areas. A further goal is to develop a strategic proposal addressed to regional, state and EU political authorities about how to use existing participatory options provided by EU legislation in order to support sustainable development.
The final meeting took place in Lac de Remoray, Val de Drugeon (France) from April 18 - 22, 2012.
State of the art: Project almost complete. Follow-up projects related to Environmental Education, Habitat Management and Eco & Rural Tourism options are discussed among participants.
