EFNCP is a Europe-wide network which raises awareness of the importance of low-intensity farming for nature conservation and aims to improve the way public policies respond to the needs of these farming systems. It promotes the importance of « High Nature Value » farming systems ; it disseminates and exchanges supporting information combining research and practical expertise ; it brings together ecologists, nature conservation managers, farmers and policy makers to consider problems faced by these systems and potential solutions ; and it develops and promotes policy options which ensure the ecological maintenance and development of these farming systems and cultural landscapes.
