Intangible Search is an online inventory for spreading the knowledge of intangible cultural heritage in the Alpine regions.

Supported by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with local, national and international partners, it is based on the principles of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003).

Among its 5 categories – Arts and entertainment, Oral traditions, Rituals, Naturalistic knowledge and Technical knowledge – you can find some examples of local/ traditional ecological knowledge.

Intangible Search is constantly updated and implemented by communities and individuals holders and protagonists of intangible cultural heritage.

To be mentioned, the ALPFOODWAY initiative, which focuses on food practices and traditions.
