Triglav National Park is located in North-Western Slovenia, covering 4% of the country’s territory around Slovenia’s highest mountain. The principal task of the Triglav National Park Public Institution is the nature protection and conservation of cultural landscape of the park, the only Slovenian National Park, but it also carries out other tasks such as: ensure coordinated and sustainable development of the activities (in particular agriculture, forestry and tourism) ; promote opportunities for visitors to enjoy the park respecting the nature ; conduct research project ; educate and raise-awareness in particular for the young. With regards to Rural Development , the Park supports organic farming, typical local products, autochthonous breeds, high-altitude pasture farming.
