Coed Cymru is a partnership of organisations dedicated to bringing Welsh broadleaf woodland into sustainable development. It is a non-profit company limited by guarantee. Its functions in research and education are managed by Coed Cymru Cyf, a charity which provides legal and financial framework for the partnership.

Activities:

  • promotion of sustainable woodland management, by giving free help and advice to farmers and landowners on management and on the use of woodland products.

  • development of value-added products : in cooperation with farmers, landowners and Welsh manufacturing companies, Coed Cymru has successfully developed many products, such as furniture, windows, flooring, woodchips for animal bedding, wood pellets for renewable energy, and building components.
